The Miami-Dade Police Department reached out to Commercial Acoustics to provide soundproofing between interrogation rooms in their office. Numerous instances occurred over the years when suspects or witnesses had been interviewed and were able to hear adjacent conversations in the next door over police interview room. This can tarnish the interview, or worse yet, allow suspects to align alibis because they can hear each other’s stories.

Case Study: Urgent Care Facility

A large and comprehensive healthcare provider in Indiana operates 15 hospitals and employs about 38,000 team members. One of their urgent care facilities is a two-story, 23,000 square-foot building with 38 exam rooms, doctor’s offices, imaging areas, and a medical clinic. The facility employees 214 and sees an average of 3,000 patients a week. It was built in 1988 and renovated in September of 2022. The healthcare provider wanted to ensure clear communication and respect conversation privacy within its building to drive greater patient comprehension, satisfaction, and employee productivity. They aimed to reduce distractions caused by the distant conversations of others.

Walgreens wanted a fresh start with their new workspace spanning multiple floors of a historic Chicago building, once known as the world’s largest post office. The massive structure that stood unused and empty for nearly a quarter of a century is being transformed into new downtown office space with 15-foot high windows, 20-foot-high ceilings and cool amenities such as a bocce court, a quiet library lounge, a 3-acre rooftop garden, and smart elevators.
